The seeds of doubt

A poem.

The seeds of doubt
Planted for free
Prey on fear
Watered just a bit
Over months or years
Grow to erode
99.9% of known
Hope & trust
Friends lost
Love tossed
Into vapours
Turn any dream
Into a curse
The seeds of doubt
Natural as mould
In the air
Grow into things
Much worse
So keep your eyes open
For snakes in the grass
Tongues darting fast
Boring tiny holes
In human hearts
The seeds of doubt
Can take you out
If not kept
Properly stored
In the place
Of your mind
Where the pages
Are already torn.
